Alcohol reveals ones true self, and the “Charles Bar” only does so after the user has explored every inch of it. It tackles the conceptual grounds of the beverages for which it is designed to hold. The bar is a statement piece aimed at turning the experience of creating a cocktail into one of discovery. A glass case contains the beverages, taunting the user, accessible only through an operable top panel, while a secret compartment containing glasses is only reveled after sliding a brass and marble element. What we desire becomes the object of desire.
