“The Frame Stool” is a culmination of Art Deco flare mixed with a modernized mechanical ethos. Bridging the gap between sculpture and furniture, it brings together an aesthetic as well as a technique. “The Frame Stool” utilizes an exposed structural exoskeleton in order to create a functional element. The brass frame, although conceived of a single unit, is offset to create a structural bracketing that can be used for a multitude of functions. This makes the stool but one out of a possible series.
